What is Yield?

Yield refers to the income generated and realized from an investment, typically expressed as a percentage of the investment’s cost or current market value. Yield can come in the form of interest, dividends, or other returns. In the context of startups, yield can be used to evaluate the potential returns from investments in stocks, bonds, or other financial instruments.

Types of Yield

  • Dividend Yield: Income generated from dividends as a percentage of the stock’s price.
  • Bond Yield: The annual income earned from a bond as a percentage of its price.
